Salt and pepper packets were literally stuck into a very thick mixture of acrylic paint and dried into the painting, creating a rather odd visual.
One of my 'stick' paintings where I cover the canvas in acrylic paint and then literally stick items into it, letting the paint seal the items into place. Here, I gave the background a black and white checked feel, similar to what you might see at an old diner. Actual salt and pepper packets were stuck into the paint, sealing them into the painting.
